The Evaluation Process

The evaluation for the Excellence Awards is an ongoing process throughout the whole year. The Asian Banker will continuously identify and engage banks that innovate their markets with new products, services, operations, channels, and technology.

Call for Submissions
21 October – 31 December 2012
Banks have time to prepare their submissions from 21 October to 31 December 2012. Please consult the submission package, which contains all necessary information and questionnaires. For the submission package please contact us.
   
Award Application Deadline: 
December 31st 2012
Complete submissions must reach us no later than 31 December 2012.
   
Stage I: First Review
Early January 2013
Each complete submission is reviewed and scored by a team of analysts. Institutions deemed eligible to proceed to the next stage are notified.
   
Stage II: Short listing of candidates for Country / Product & Process / Special Awards
January 8th 2013
Based on the submissions in the product or process awards, our team, together with our international panel of judges, will nominate up to five candidates in each of the categories.
   
Stage III: Interviews
January/ February 2013
Based on the independent review, our team of analysts will interview the shortlisted candidates. Interviews will be conducted with the head of retail banking, as well as heads of product/process groups, where applicable.
   
Stage IV: Selection and Notification of Award Winners
February 18th 2013
Results ratified by a panel of international referees will be communicated to the winning banks.
   
Stage V: International Excellence in Retail Financial Services Conference
Venue: Seoul, Korea
March 21st –22nd 2013
The most exclusive and prestigious retail banking conference of its kind in Asia Pacific, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This year's conference is designed to be a major forum for top retail banking executives to share effective and innovative retail banking solutions across markets in peer group discussions and to generate leadership focused ideas that facilitate the shaping of the future of retail financial services across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
   
The Awards Ceremony
Venue: Seoul, Korea
March 21st –22nd 2013
The Annual International Retail Banking Convention is a fully interactive event that brings together senior level executives in the retail financial services industry from across the region to harness the power of the community to share valuable lessons and insights whilst developing clear concepts on the challenges that are taking place in the retail financial services industry.
