2021 pinned down a lot of major developments that have taken places in sustainable, carbon neutral and green finance in the Asia Pacific region, especially in Greater China, from policy and regulatory development to wider market consensus on the idea of green. The unfold of world-wide outbreaking COVID-19 pandemic has brought series of challenges for the whole society when marching to a more sustainable future. The biggest challenge is how to restore the world economy after the crisis, while keep on track of the set climate goals, or more specifically, UN’s Social Development Goals, Paris Agreement and China’s 30/60 goal.
Corporations/projects that are greatly involved in the area including renewable energy and circular economy, energy efficiency, pollution prevention and control, protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems, sustainable water and wastewater management, climate change adaptation, green Agriculture, clean transportation, green building are encouraged to participate in our certification programme.
We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete this survey to help us understand your pursuit of excellence in the commitment of corporation towards sustainability, climate neutrality and managing climate change, before we enter into the second round of interview. Recognised institutions/projects will receive a certificate signed by the distinguished advisors to the programme to recognise the achievements in SCG in the year under review.
All submissions should be no more than 10 pages in length and fully completed the questionnaire below. We have taken on an audit-based approach in the evaluation process. You may refer to below the assessment criteria for more information.

Who does the audit?
The audit is conducted by senior researchers at The Asian Banker. The audit is verified by advisors who are independent from The Asian Banker.
How is the audit carried out?
We do Face-to-face or video-call interview with the senior leadership to understand your commitments, activities carried out, test scenarios and measure the tangible goals set. We also assess published statements of commitments, annual reports or other published public records along with internal standard operating procedures (SOPs). Besides, we interact with external stakeholders, independent interviews and public record of third-party sources, to learn about the corporation selected or its peers in the industry or region.
What are the deliverables?
A certificate of completion of the audit.
A confidential report outlining findings, peer comparisons, recommendations for improvement and exceptions, if any.
With the permission of the corporation, The Asian Banker will also publish a press release stating the completion of the audit.
What are the potential benefits of the audit?

Identification of excellent institutions in green finance
In the event of an unsuccessful audit, the deliverables will be the full confidential report that will outline the exceptions, if any, for further action, and with a view of conducting a successful audit in the future. The Asian Banker does not guarantee a successful audit to the paying sponsor.
Warranties: The Asian Banker only warrants that the audit was conducted independently in accordance with the goals of the SCG Programme. These are to ascertain the compliance of the corporation towards sustainability goals of the SDG. The Asian Banker does not warrant the certification to be used for purposes of investment in or profit from the sponsoring corporation. The certification is not designed to satisfy any legal requirements that are specific and differ between different nation states.
